Christmas Survey

I found this over at my new bloggy friend Whitney's blog. So of course I snagged it for myself. Thanks Whitney!

1.Hot apple cider or hot chocolate? Hot chocolate of course, with a candy cane to stir.

2.If you could have anything from ONE of the “Twelve days of Christmas,” what would it be? I would be crazy not to take the 5 golden rings.

3.Colored or clear lights on tree/house? I usually only do clear lights, but my kids wanted a candy cane striped tree, so this year we have red and clear.

4. Name one person (famous or not if you dare) you’d like to find under the mistletoe. Good one! But, I only want to find Big Daddy under the mistletoe. AWWW!

5.When do you put your decorations up? As soon as Thanksgiving is over!

6.What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? That's tough because I love all things food! I guess it would be the ham.

7.What’s your favorite holiday memory as a child? Guessing the secret gift at our holiday gathering. It was always something little, but it was something that we always treasured.

8.When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I don't even remember, but my parents still always signed our gift tags "love Santa" up until the time we moved out. I do remember knowing he was not real, but not wanting anyone to know that I knew:)

9.Snow: love it or hate it? LOVE IT!!!!!!

10.Do you prefer ice skating, sledding or snow skiing? Sledding. My sisters and I would sled until we were blue. My oldest sister even had to spend a few days in the hospital for a bruised kidney that she got while sledding. Good times!

11.Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper. I love to wrap!

12.Real tree or Artificial? Real tree always!

13.When do you take the tree down? The day after New Years.

14.Do you like eggnog? Yum!

15.Favorite gift received as a child? I can't remember. Maybe I am getting too old.

16.Hardest person to buy for? Big Daddy!

17.Easiest person to buy for? My kids!

18.Do you have a nativity scene? With wise men or without? I do have a Nativity scene, I don't have wise men.

19.Christmas cards: Mail, email, or just don’t bother? Mail! There is something a little more personal about sending a hand written card.

20.Worst Christmas gift you ever received? I can't really think of any. It is the thought that counts:)

21.If you could be one character from any Christmas movie, whom would you choose? Rudolph. How cool would it be to light the way for Santa's Sleigh ;)

22.Favorite Christmas song? Silent Night

23.What is your tree topper? An angel.

24.Do you open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Christmas morning.

25.Most annoying thing about this time of the year? Rude people in the stores. JUST SMILE! It's all good:)

  4. What a fun post! I think I'm going to have to snag it for myself. Sometimes, it's just plain hard to come up with exciting topics. I've been shopping all day, so maybe I just need an easy way out!

  8. These are so fun to read. I did a similar one a few days ago.

We got snow over the weekend. It was lovely, until the rain came...all day today. Now it is ugly:(

I will have to try the candy cane and hot chocolate. I have both already in the house...
