I'm Finally Finished!

Well, I thought I would just go out to the stores and finish my Christmas shopping. Simple. Right? Wrong! There I found myself with thousands of other procrastinating shoppers, with the same look of panic in their eyes. I actually stopped and said "why did I wait so long?". The sales were great. But, the lines were horrific! I have determined that they do not sell little girl's pants in size 4 or women's boots in size 9 1/2. They just do not! Crayola glow station, does not exist! The place on there shelf where it is supposed to be is always perfectly clean. Alright , so a few things on my list where not available. No problem, I can live with that. One really good thing that came out of my shopping excursion was, Michael's cell phone that he dropped in a puddle (grumble) was still under warranty and replaced. Thank goodness! He would be phoneless if not for that and then I would have to live with all that teenage whining. Ugh! All complaints aside, when Christmas morning rolls around, I am ready. My kids have gifts and they will be happy and that is what it is all about! Have you finished your shopping yet?

  1. Over from SITS this morning! I have pretty much finished my shopping....hubby and I went Friday night, but I was out yesterday doing a few last minute things. It was INSANE out there! The shelves at Target were looking pretty bleak......
Glad to hear you are done!
Have a good Sunday...I am off to start some baking :-)

  3. I am a horrible procrastinator, but yesterday all I had to get was giftcards to restaurants for my parents and my in-laws and I was done. Yeah! I can't bear the crowds of last minute shopping (makes me anxious and makes me want to run over people with son's stroller), so any last minute shopping I do is usually online.

Glad to hear that cell phone was under warranty. My next phone I'm making sure to get a warranty on. This one has been chewed on, dropped, and flung by a fiesty toddler...why did I think it was okay to not get a warranty?

  5. Oh No! Well, I am glad to know that you are at least done, and your kiddos will have a fabulous Christmas! I, on the other hand, just ran to the grocery to get gift cards for a party @ 2...Ugh! In other words, I am SO not ready!

  15. Yes, Yes, Yes and oh yeah the teenage whining especially about those lovely little cell phones!!

Hate to tell ya, finished mine last week, but had to keep after big daddy to do his part! How hard is it to sit at the computer, go to the website, have YOUR WIFE tell you exactly what to order and then do it!!

And I couldn't find everything even back in Nov.!!

  16. Oye I can barely stand to think about shopping this week. Just the thought makes me cringe! I had mine done before Thanksgiving, but that doesn't really work, because I can't wait to give the presents, so then by Christmas the presents beneath the tree are very sparse!

  18. I have not finished my shopping, not one bit.

I don't know how mom's like you do it with a household and a gaggle of kids at Christmas. Yikes!

I freak out trying to buy for my nephews and my niece (who have EVERYTHING imaginable). Hate to say it but the kiddies are getting cash from Auntie Christa this year.

My main concern was getting presents for my parents. If I had my way I would do the following for my parents for Christmas:

    1. Pay off their house
    2. Get them a maid to clean the house once a week
    3. Sent them on an all expense paid first class trip to Italy for 2 weeks
    4. Give them $50,000 in cash to spend as they see fit.

I want to pay the kindness back to my parents more than my nephews and niece. Is that wrong?

    Merry Christmas Mom and Dad.

    Merry Christmas SANDY!!!

  19. i am NOT a fan of christmas shopping. in fact, i almost despise it. i do not like crowds and tons of people...it overwhelms me and kind of scares me too...

i do most of my shopping online, but i also don't have a ton to do, so i do a lot of it WAY beforehand. i'm glad you were able to get yours done though!

  20. I ventured out Sunday hoping that the stores wouldn't be busy because after all, it was sabbath day and everyone in Utah should be in church right? Wrong! I couldn't believe it!

    Oh the sinners!
