Ahh! What a Gloroious Weekend!

Okay, I must say that the weather on Friday and Saturday was absolutely lovely. I really needed a refresher for my body and soul and enjoying the warmth was just the ticket. The kids got down and dirty outside and I had a fabulous time watching them break free. With Sunday, came the rain. Only a few showers here and there, but enough to keep us inside. That's okay though. We were all a bit tired from all the fresh air and turning the clocks ahead, resulting in the loss of a most precious hour of sleep.

We went to Sunday school and worship, then to Nana and Poppy's house for a super easy lunch (nobody wanted to cook!). After lunch we had some ice cream for dessert and went to visit Grammy and Pappy. Madelyn asks to go there every week. She loves to visit with her "great" Pappy! She thinks that he is always in time out because he is always in his favorite chair when we get there. They play ball together (from Pappy's timeout chair) and it makes her giggle. Grammy gave Felicia a whole bag of empty toilet paper tubes for us to create some art. It was like she had given her a bag of gold. She is still smiling about that;0)

I have really been enjoying living life more simply. I realized a few months ago that it was time for us to just slow down and enjoy the things we have. Sitting outside watching my kids run around looking for birds through their toilet paper tube binoculars, proves to me that we don't need things to make us happy, family makes us happy. The world is a crazy place. Not long ago, I was one of those nuts running around trying to prove something. Not any more. I have every thing that I will ever need right here at home. Ahh...what a glorious life!
