Clothespin Reindeer

"Rudolph the red nosed reindeer! Had a very shiny nose......"
This is an ornament that we had on our tree when I was a kid so I thought I would make them again with my little ones!

1. You will need 2 wooden clothes pins.

2. Paint them brown.

3.Glue the two clothes pins together.

4. Add eyes and a nose. We used a button for the nose, but you could also use a small pom-pom.

5. Tie a piece of ribbon or yarn around the reindeer so that you can hang it on your tree. Draw a line down the center of the bottom clothespin to create legs and draw hooves.

6.It's finished.

  1. When I was little, we had a 'nicely decorated' tree upstairs, then a kids craft tree downstairs. That tree was chuck-full of clothespin reindeer. Love it!

  2. I had a reindeer clothespin on my fridge!! The magnet wasn't strong and it kept falling off. Eventually the kids got to it....I never saw it again.

  3. I think every kid has made these. I know I did when I was little, and so did my husband. They're a Christmas tree staple!

  4. I remember doing something like that in elementary school! I am pretty sure my parents still hang it on their tree every year. How cute!
