Still Battling The Bug

It's been over a week now since Stella first got the sniffles. Now, it's a full blown cold infecting someone new every day. : ( I have been spending my days snuggling sick little ones and constantly wiping runny noses. Thankfully, I have the most easy-going baby around and she is not fussy like she was the first day she got sick. She's still smiling and happy even when she wakes up with her eyes "glued" shut with goop in the morning. Poor baby! The hardest time for us is at night. I lay in bed listening to everyone coughing and of course then I'm wide awake worrying if they are okay. So, I spend my days loading up on lots and lots of coffee. Hopefully, we are almost done with all this sickness and we can get on with the Christmas festivities!

Speaking of Christmas, Felicia and Madelyn will be singing with the children's choir at church on Sunday. For the very first time! I'm both excited and extremely nervous for them. They have been singing so well in practice, but I'm not sure how they will do up in front of everyone. Can't wait to see!

Have you finished your Christmas shopping yet? I'm *almost* done. Thank heavens for Amazon! Being stuck at home with sick kids makes it difficult to shop. But, Amazon and 2-day shipping has made it a lot easier! Now, all I have to buy is stocking stuffers and wrapping paper. I'm sure that, as usual, I'll be doing that on Christmas Eve. It's sort of an unplanned tradition! lol!

Well, time to get back to my sickies! I guess I should at least try to get some lessons done with Madelyn. We haven't done much school this week at all.

Salt Dough Ornaments

You can never have too many handmade ornaments and we like to make a few new ones every year. Using the dough that remained from the hand print ornaments that we made recently, we made a few cut outs to paint.
After we baked them, I just gave them to the girls to paint any old way they wanted to. Add a piece of ribbon to hang and you're all finished!
