This play dough recipe is a must for fall! It just smells so good!
You will need:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup salt
- 2 cups water
- 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp. cream of tartar
- 2 tbsp pumpkin pie spice (of course I had none, so I just made a mixture of cinnamon, cloves, and ginger)
- red and yellow food coloring
We made a few pumpkins by adding some leaves and stems cut from pipe cleaners. Madelyn also just rolled out the dough and made some pumpkin "cookies".
Thanks for sharing the recipe. I'll have to try this!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds wonderful! I absolutely love the smell of pumpkin pie. I continue to pray for you Sandy and I hope you're feeling well these days.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea! When my kids were small, we made homemade playdough, but I never thought to add scent! (or even coloring, for that matter!)Love the little pumpkins.
ReplyDeleteQuite the adorable idea! I'll have to remember this for my fiance's daughter next fall. Love your header, love the photo-type headers :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea! I will have to tell my sister-in-law. She loves all things pumpkin, and I'm sure her little ones would love this!
ReplyDeleteHaving so much fun looking at all your craft ideas!
ReplyDeleteI want to make this today! Have done homemade play-dough in the past, but Amelia said it was "too stinky". I like your idea to add spices and/or flavorings - that may help!
ReplyDeleteI made this recipe today for my preschool art class, and added orange glitter too. The kids and parents really like it! And it did smell good!
