My Apologies....

As you can see, I have been a blog slacker once again. This past week has been very busy and so exhausting. As a result, I have spent much of this weekend with my feet up once again. I even forgot to post my Friday Book project and actually only wrote one post all week. Whew! I hope to catch a break soon, so I can catch up here. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening anytime soon. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of this week, Aaron has PSSA testing for school. That means we have to get up early every day to get everyone out the door to drive to the testing place. Normally, I love doing this because there are a lot of great shopping places in that area, but I am far too exhausted to enjoy shopping. So, I'll catch up here as soon as I can. Thanks for sticking around! :0)

My Week So Far

Just when things are moving along smoothly, life throws you a curve ball. Our weekend was busy, as most are for us. It was Michael's birthday on Saturday, so he spent much of the weekend with friends. Then Sunday rolled around and we had our usual Sunday school and church. Usually we visit with my grandfather on Sunday afternoon, but this weekend, we had some other things to take care of. It was candy making day! Every year our church has an Easter Egg Hunt for the community and we get to make the candy to give out as prizes! It's so much fun for the kids!
After candy making my Mom was taking us to Target to get Felicia's birthday present and an outfit for me to wear on Easter Sunday. Felicia was so excited! She loves to shop. As she was running to the car, she tripped and hit the bottom of the car and the pavement with her face. I was sure her nose was broken when she came back up! She was scraped from her chin to the bridge of her nose and she had a bloody mouth. Poor kid! Add that to the black eye she got last week from getting hit with the door and she looked like she was in a horrible fight! Thankfully, it looked a lot worse than it actually was and she is feeling much better now!

Monday, Felicia celebrated her 6th birthday! She walked a lot taller that day, as she said she felt bigger! ;0)

Monday was also the day that I woke up and my computer would not turn on! Do you know how crazy I was? My computer is my lifeline to the outside world! I know, that sounds pathetic, but it's true! I felt so isolated! But, it happened at a good time, because my body started telling me it was time to slow down and relax! My aches and pains became more than I could handle and I my exhaustion level was at an all time high! So, I took the last few days to just put my feet up and relax. It has helped somewhat, but I now know that I really need to take it easy. Last night, Mike surprised me by buying a new computer. He had been out looking for the part to fix the old one, with no luck, so he decided that it was time for a whole new computer. (the other one was old and slow!) So, I am happy to say that I am back and feeling connected again!

Tomorrow will be another busy day, preparing for Easter, coloring eggs for the church Easter egg hunt, and a visit with my midwife. Hopefully, I can squeeze some time in to put my feet up and rest! How has your week been so far?

Thinking Spring and Other Random Stuff!

We, here at the Adams house are just coming off of a three day weekend. So I thought today I would just catch up on life. First, I'll start with a baby update. I'm now 29 weeks and getting really excited about Stella's arrival. I wish it was today! I am not very good at waiting and for the past several weeks, it feels as though time is standing still. I know that there are people that have to wait for years and years to have a baby, and I am amazed at their strength, because I have a really hard time just waiting nine months. We have been shopping like crazy, because not only do I not have the patience to wait for her arrival, I feel like I have to have everything she will need, months in advance. The problem, the girls' bedroom isn't finished yet, so I have this pile of stuff sitting next to my computer desk.
Hopefully, soon everything will be finished and we can get the room set up. *patience*

The snow is finally all gone and believe it or not, our grass is still somewhat green. I am still waiting for my spring flowers to bloom and leaves on the trees would be nice, but once again I need  *patience*.

Michael has started practice for baseball and is not only exhausted all the time, but starving all the time as well. That boy can really eat and I just can't keep up with his appetite!

Brandon got a new job for the summer. He will be working at Knoebel's (our local amusement park). He is really excited!

Aaron just keeps working away at school work and is doing very well. Putting him in Cyber School was the best thing we could have ever done for him. His grades are outstanding now that he has no distractions! Next month he will be going to take his PSSA tests and I am sure he will do great!

Felicia is still loving Kindergarten and is learning so much! Her reading is improving a great deal. She rarely asks me to help her with words anymore. She "sounds out" everything, even when we are having a conversation, she sounds out words so that I will understand her. LOL!

Madelyn is doing very well with her "homeschooling". She wants to learn Spanish now and speaks to her dolls with an accent. It is so funny! She knows a few Spanish words, but I am now looking for a program to teach her more. That kid just loves to learn!

Well, that's about it for us! Things are just normal and simple.....just the way I like it!

The View From My Front Window

Another snow day for us! Although, I usually love snow, this is just too much winter even for me. Normally we would be outside playing in it and taking wintry walks, but the little ones have colds and it is much too windy to be outside. I'm really starting to feel like a prisoner in my own home. The good thing is, we are all home and we can stay in our jammies and have another movie day. The bad thing, when the weather is nice, our kids will be sitting in school making up a ton of snow days!

Is It Too Much To Ask...

...that you replace the garbage bag in the can when you take the garbage out?

...that when using the milk, you don't put it away with only a drop remaining?

...that you put the toothpaste cap back on when you are finished brushing your teeth?

...that you put your dirty clothes in the hamper instead of on the floor beside it?

...that you wipe your feet before you enter the house instead of on the carpet right inside the door?

...that you hang your jackets on the hooks and not in a pile on the floor under said hooks?

These are just a few requests from this morning. I am sure after school I will have a whole new list!

It Always Confuses Me...

... when I find random body parts on the floor. Strangely, we have no toys that this would attach to. Odd?!

May!

I do so love the month of May.

Twenty years ago this month, Big Daddy and I became a couple! During the past twenty years, we have shared almost 17 years of marriage, 5 of the most gorgeous and perfect children on Earth, and countless good times! May is good!

Thirty five years ago this month, May 20, I was born! May is good!

This month is also the month to celebrate motherhood, the best job in the world! It's also the month of my Mom's birthday! My mom is truly the best there is! May is good!

I Would Miss A Lot!

While watching the inauguration yesterday I was thinking. If I was at work I would have missed this amazing day in history. How sad I would feel not being able to witness such an important moment. Then I thought about all the other things that I would miss if I was not home with my kids every day.

I would miss....

...the early morning cuddles I get from Madelyn every day!

...having silly dance parties anytime the girls and I wanted too!

...baking cookies for the kids just because it's Wednesday!

...playing with play-dough all day long.

...lunch time conversations.

...and a million other moments that I could never get back!

I know if I worked, I would be able to buy that big, new television or take a great vacation to a sandy beach for a few weeks in the summer. But for what I would miss, it is so not worth it!
