We Made Christmas Trees with our Hands

Because we plan to decorate for Christmas this week, we decided to start making some Christmas crafts. So, here is the Christmas tree made with our hands!
First, I traced the girl's hands. You will need ten hands for this project.
After I traced and cut out the hands, we began assembling the tree. We glued together four hands for the bottom of the tree. On top of that we glued three more and continued working our way up to the top of the tree.
Here is what it looked like at that point.
I then added a trunk and a star for the top.
Using a hole punch, I made a few ornaments for the girls to glue on.
Here is Madelyn with her finished tree. She is so proud!

  2. Oh, that looks like fun! I am going to be busy this season. Oh boy, I have to much to do and here I am blogging.

I love your background. I am thinking about getting one from them as well. I think it is the red and green background.

  8. I love this idea. When I used to teach, I had each of the kids trace their hand and we made a big tree from all of their hands. So fun!
